Speaking on recent maritime developments, Allahmorad Afifipour stated that the Organization is pursuing plans to launch a large-scale maritime tourism route using a major passenger vessel. The proposed route is expected to connect southern ports of the country and enhance coastal tourism and regional connectivity.
He highlighted the availability of well-developed passenger infrastructure, noting that a fully equipped passenger terminal is operational at Khorramshahr Port, while a modern and advanced passenger terminal has been constructed at Bushehr Port. In addition, all agencies responsible for international travel formalities are stationed at the passenger terminal of Chabahar Port.
Afifipour also pointed to the tourism potential of Khor Azini, describing it as an attractive coastal destination where a dedicated maritime tourism pier has been established.
He further confirmed that the Oman–Chabahar maritime route is currently operational and revealed that efforts are underway to launch an additional international maritime line from Chabahar Port.
